Medical Education Announcement
Hospital Grand Rounds sessions are available for CME in the new Inova Portal. User accounts will not migrate over from ICMES. All users will need to create a NEW account following the steps below:
- Go to the new Inova Portal
- In top right, click "Register"
- Click "Create New Account"
Important notes for claiming:
- Credit claiming window will open 45 minutes after the start time of the session and will remain open for 30 days after the session.
- Credit claiming is only available via the session code. Session code will be provided during Grand Rounds.
- Learners have two options:
- Text session code to 703-260-9391, or
- Go to cme.inova.org/code and enter the session code
Don’t forget to download CME Transcript in ICMES:
Inova’s CME website, ICMES is now inactive. In preparation for this transition, all users are advised to download and/or print their transcript to maintain their records. All users have lost access to ICMES. Visit ICMES to print your transcript.

The Office of Continuing Medical Education provides a continuing learning process that helps physicians and other pediatric healthcare professionals enhance their practice of medicine and improve healthcare outcomes.
Our office sponsors a variety of conferences and Hospital Grand Rounds. Many conferences focus on specific pediatric topics that are of interest to pediatricians, family practitioners, specialists and other health professionals.

Continuing Nursing Education
We offer continuing education programs for nurses throughout the year. These on-site, off-site and online programs enhance professional development in nursing practice, education, administration, and research, all of which positively impact patient care outcomes and patient safety.
Lectures and Workshops
Join Children’s National Hospital faculty and staff in engaging lectures and professional development workshops. Hospital Grand Rounds
Hospital Grand Rounds are open to physicians, nurses, medical trainees, physician assistants, social workers, healthcare administrators, allied health professionals, volunteers and students in the Children's National community and the greater Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.
