The Advanced Cardiac Therapies and Heart Transplant program provides a variety of advanced medical therapies, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist devices (VADs) for children with heart failure to delay or even avoid heart transplant. If other treatment options have not been successful, the experienced team at children’s national offers transplantation as an option. Our team does more pediatric heart transplants than any other pediatric center in the region.
