Specialized Gynecology Care for Children and Teens
The Pediatric Gynecology Program coordinates care for patients from age 0-21 with a range of surgical and non-surgical concerns. We provide the following services:

Expert Gynecology Care from Pediatric to Adulthood
Our program is also unique in our ability to monitor young women during their transition to adult care. This continuity of care is possible through a partnership with MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Some of our team members care for patients at both hospitals into adulthood. This means that as an adult, your daughter has the option to see a physician who knows her medical history.

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends visiting an obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN) for the first time between ages 13-15.
Fellowship in Pediatric Gynecology
Our team consists of physicians who have completed training in obstetrics and gynecology and who have a special interest in the treatment of children and teenagers. Our fellowship is a collaborative training program between the National Institutes of Health and Children’s National Hospital.
