The Children’s National Real Estate Division includes the Engineering, Construction, Space Planning and Real Estate Departments. Through these various departments, the Real Estate Division is responsible for planning, building and maintaining the Sheikh Zayed Campus and offsite locations. Children’s National expects all contractors to comply with and enforce the Safety Standards included in the Contractor Safety and Project Manual. It is the responsibility of every individual contractor to ensure they read, understand and follow the safety standards as a condition of employment on every Children’s National assignment/project. These safety standards are a contract document and will be strictly enforced. All contractor employees, sub-tier contractor employees, vendors, etc., are required to attend Contractor Safety Training and take the Annual Contractor Safety Quiz in order to perform work at Children’s National.
Children’s National and our contractors partner to comply with “best practice” in the pediatric health care industry as well as all applicable statutes, laws, codes, ordinances, rules and regulations currently in effect. Children's National operates in accordance with all codes and regulations associated with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the Joint Commission (TJC), FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction of Hospitals, Department of Health (DOH) and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
