Vendor Onboarding Requirements
All vendors are required to submit to and pass a background check. Additionally, vendors will be screened monthly against appropriate exclusion/debarment (e.g., Office of Inspector General, Excluded Parties List System) lists.
Vendors will also be required to complete and attest to trainings as required by the business units with which they are working. Examples of trainings include safety, HIPAA privacy and security, Children’s National Vendor Code of Conduct and other applicable Children’s National policies, and department-specific guidelines and processes.
All vendors who visit the Main Campus ≥4 visits per year OR for ≥ 5 working days per visit are required to meet the following Occupational Health requirements:
- Urine drug test
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening
- Flu Shot
- Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)
- Varicella
- Tetanus, Diphtheria & Pertussis (Tdap) (as required by business partner)
- Hepatitis B (as required by business partner)
If you do not meet the on-site threshold noted above, you will follow the visitor management process by checking in at the Emergency Department or the Welcome Desk in the hospital atrium.
Should your work with Children’s National require you to have system access, your business partner will work with the Children’s National security and IT teams to provision access accordingly.
