Medicaid Changes
The end of the COVID-19 Federal Health Emergency has allowed states to review their Medicaid enrollment and remove some members from coverage. Families should access their online accounts to review and update their contact information to ensure updates are received. States have until March 31, 2024, to assess eligibility.
Annual re-enrollment in Medicaid will not be automatic this year. Make sure your contact information is up-to-date TODAY.
- Washington, D.C., residents can visit District Direct.
- Maryland residents can visit Maryland Health Connection or call 855-642-8572.
- Virginia residents can visit Virginia CommonHelp; call 855-242-8282 (TTY 888-221-1590) or contact your local DSS office.
Look for notices in mail, emails or texts from your Medicaid provider to ensure your coverage continues. You will have 45 days to respond once you receive notification. Having up-to-date contact information will make sure you don’t miss the deadline for renewal. Update information as soon as possible if your address, household size or income has changed.
