We are Now the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute
The Fetal Medicine Institute at Children’s National Hospital has been renamed the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute. This new name more accurately reflects our strategic focus on the prenatal-neonatal pediatrics continuum and our collaboration with the neonatology team on all unborn-to-newborn care.
Going forward, we will continue to provide the highest level of comprehensive counseling to the patients we share with you, our referring colleagues. We will formulate the most effective care plans for at-risk infants at and after birth – wherever the delivery occurs – and to convey these recommendations to our colleagues caring for the baby.
The core aspects of our practice, such as our physical location, our multidisciplinary team and the ways in which we schedule and coordinate the best care for our shared patients, will remain the same under our new Prenatal Pediatrics Institute name.
