Washingtonian magazine recognizes 65 "Top Doctors" in 28 specialties from Children's National Hospital
WASHINGTON – Washingtonian magazine’s annual list of the region’s “Top Doctors” recognizes 65 Children’s National Hospital physicians from an array of specialties including Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, Oncology/Hematology, Neurology, Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, General and Thoracic Surgery and Urology.
"This important recognition comes at a time when the Children’s National team is managing yet another challenge: a significant increase in emergency department and primary care visits, along with admissions to our hospital, due in part to a spike in viral respiratory infections,” said Kurt Newman, M.D., president and CEO of Children’s National Hospital.
Washingtonian magazine’s “Top Doctors” lists the region’s best doctors nominated by other physicians in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
“Our leaders thank the team every day for their hard work but I am thrilled to see so many of our team members on the Washingtonian Top Doctors list. It is confirmation that our physicians have also earned the respect of their colleagues around the region.”
